Committees
The Emeryville Chamber
of Commerce acts as the "Voice of
Emeryville Business" through the leadership of our Civic Issues
Department. This critical area of the Chamber program is comprised
of several Committees, each with its own Charter and Program of Work.
Government Affairs and
Transportation Committee. Our Government Affairs and
Transportation Committee is
the primary vehicle for overall public policy input to the Chamber
Board of Directors. Committee activities include regular attendance
at and monitoring of Emeryville City Council and other local
agencies activities, review of state and local ballot measures and
recommendations to the membership; review of federal, state, and
local legislation, voter registration and information, candidates'
forums, and Legislative Forum events. For a list of Committee

Business/Education Committee. The Chamber's Business/Education
Committee works to bring the Emery Unified School District and the
local business community together to enhance the quality and value
of education for EUSD students. For a list of Committee members ,

Hospitality Committee. The Chamber's Hospitality Committee
was formed recognizing the importance that this critical segment
plays in the local economy. Membership on this Committee is limited
to Emeryville Chamber of Commerce members in the hospitality and
related industries. The Committee meets on a regular basis to
exchange information on meetings and conventions in our area,
explore new ideas promoting our area as a tourism and conference
destination, and to hear informative speakers on the latest tourism
topics.
Realtors Council.
The Chamber convened the Realtors Council in response to
Emeryville's emergence as a corporate headquarters and office
center. The Council meets regularly to get updates on the latest
activity in the East Bay real estate market, hear speakers with
expertise in East Bay real estate trends, and to plan a possible
joint marketing effort promoting Emeryville as a prime office
location destination.
